摘要
植物多糖是一类广泛存在于植物中具有多种生物学活性的天然大分子物质,对免疫系统的影响普遍认为是通过对天然免疫系统的调节作用,尤其是对巨噬细胞免疫功能的影响.许多研究表明,植物多糖与巨噬细胞表面多种受体结合启动不同信号途径而发挥生物学作用.本文综述了来源于不同种属的多种植物多糖对巨噬细胞释放活性氧、分泌细胞因子和趋化因子等的免疫调节作用,为新型免疫调节药物的研究开发提供了新的思路.
Botanical polysaccharides extracted from various plant species are natural substances which exhibit diverse biological activities. Their ability to modulate innate immunity, especially the macrophage functions are believed to mediate their effects on the animal immune systems. In this review, the current status and the understanding of the macrophage immunomodulatory activity of botanical polysaccharides isolated from a wide array of different plant species will be summarized. Botanical polysaccharides can bind to the surface receptors of maerophages and then initiate different signaling pathways, resulting in a number of biological activities. The primary effect of botanical polysaccharides is to enhance and/or activate macrophage immune responses, including increasing reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and enhancing the secretion of cytokines and chemokines. The in-depth research of the botanical polysaccharides will provide an unique opportunity for the discovery of novel therapeutic agents and adjuvant, and significantly promote the exploit of their therapeutic potentials.
