The function of AMBE-2000 is described briefly, and a vocoder based on AMBE-2000 is designed. The voice compression algorithm attains the high synthesizing quality at low bit rate. The DSP platform of the system based on TMS320VC33 chip and assembly language are used to compile the homologous software.
