梯玛文化属巫术文化的范畴。梯玛的巫术有摹仿巫术和接触巫术之分。梯玛的职能主要是用巫术祈求上天为人们带来福祉,用巫术驱逐邪气为人解痛苦,达到为社会服务的目的。梯玛的职能也彰显了梯玛的社会功能,梯玛的社会功能是社会的稳定器和社会的平衡器。
