简述了常用数字电视机顶盒的种类与特点,重点介绍了与传统模拟电视机相配套、以接收有线数字电视信号为目的的数字电视机顶盒;对目前数字电视机顶盒关键技术及其发展趋势作了初步探讨,指出小型化、双向传输、应用范围更为广泛等将是数字电视机顶盒发展的趋势。

The article briefly introduces the types and characteristics of ordinary digital TV set-top-boxes and emphasizes on the digital TV set-top-boxes which form a complete set with traditional analogue television and take as the aim to receive CATV signal. The key technology and developing trend of present digital TV set-top-box are studied. Miniaturization, two-way transmission and wider application will be the developing trend of digital TV set-top-box.
