This paper discusses the present situation and future trend of China's energy sector development. By an analysis of the history and the status-quo of China's energy resources, production and consumption, the paper points out that the challenged traditional development mode is facing difficulties. The paper also introduces the research results obtained by the energy end demand analytical method applied by energy experts. It is pointed out that by intensified energy conservation, intensive promotion of cleaner and efficient utilization technologics for fossil energies and quickened development of new energy and renewable energies, it is possible to realize a better coordinated energy, economic, social and environment development.
