长久以来，比利时这个在烹饪上仅次于法国的欧洲国家以其巧克力而著称，但比利时也是一个伟大的奶酪国度。尽管比利时国土面积狭小，但却能生产像法国一样多的奶酪品种。据说．比利时盛产将近三百种奶酪，但大都不出口。比利时奶酪主要分成三大类修道院的僧侣们生产的Chimay Grand Cru奶酪，产自南部山区的Capra Honey Goat奶酪以及Passendale半软质奶酪。
As is known, Belgian chocolates are famous all over the world, but it isalso a great country of cheese. Belgium produces as many distinct types of cheese as France. It is said that Belgium owns nearly 300 types of cheeses, and most of them are not exported. The Belgian cheeses are mainly classified into Chimay Grand Cru, Capra Honey Goat and Passendale.
