摘要
蜥蜴有众多的方言名称,竟然用了蛇、狗、鸡、蚁;师、医、哥、婆、公;月、盐,等二十多个无关的字。原来都是对蜥蜴断尾再生等习性的谐音趣难表示。是特殊的谐音造词法。
Lizard has lots of names in Chinese dialects. Some connect with snake, dog, chick and ant; some connect with teacher, doctor, elder brother, grandfather and grandmother; some connect with moon and salt. By means of thorough study of these names, we found that they are all interesting and difficult expressions about lizard＇ characteristics of which a lizard can recovers his tail after he has lost it, though the expressions conceal the true words and using homophonic false words .
