With the development and maturity of software technologies, more and more complicated software products have been used in the various field of people＇s life. The performance efficiency has become a critical standard to judge a software product＇s quality. LoadRunner is a powerful tool for software performance test. By using it, test personnel can easily fulfill their work, and the problems which affect the performance of the software are easily located to make the software product more robust and effective. The paper introduces the main features, operating principle and testing process of the latest version of LoadRunner, HP LoadRunner9.0, and demonstrates how to carry out a software performance test through using the LoadRunner tool.
