The W3C multimodal interaction framework provided language development standards for interactive speech and muhimodal applications, enabled PC programmers to create muhimodal applications for entertainment, education, and business. It was discussed the concept of W3C standard language and W3C multimodal framework. Two examples of invisible and visible Virtual Agent were used to illuminate the application of the W3C muhimodal framework.
