摘要
专有名词普通化受语境因素制约,其理据是建立在语言符号所指体现的常规关系上。这些理据不是来自语言的内部,而是来自语言外部,是语言外部理据,反映的是该语言所体现的外部世界及其特征,因此具有时代性、地域性和民族性,反映该民族的语言文化特征。专有名词的普通化过程是通过相关联的认知域之间的投射实现的,语境是其转化的条件。
This paper probes into the motivations of commonization of proper nouns from pragmatic and cognitive perspectives,it is argued in this paper that commonization of proper nouns is motivated on the stereotypical relationships that are represented by the proper nouns. They are actually external motivations rather than internal ones which represent the typical features of the actual world the proper noun signifies and thus have regional and national characteristics culturally. The writer maintains here that commonization is actually a mapping of one cognitive domain on another closely related one on the condition of contextualization.
