The flood dike to the west of river, or the Hexi flood dike in Wuzhou city saw seepage risk in the flood of over 100 years on June 28 of 1998. The author analyzed the causes according to the form and features of seepage. Various measures were adopted to remove the hidden trouble of dike including the anti-seepage treatment for dike body and foundation consisting of concrete facing slab, concrete cover and curtain grouting, reinforcement of dike foundation by fill grouting and anti-slide pile, repair of bank slope damaged by flood, cutting and draining water in the interior of dike etc., which ensure the safety of flood dike in the flood of over 100 years on June 23 of 2005.
