On the Problems of Social Integration of Children of Peasants Newly Migrating into the City

城市农转非新移民子女是真正意义上的城市新移民。他们必须融入城市社会才能健康地成长,但是他们的社会融入会面临文化差异、空间隔离、社会隔离和学业成就差异等困难。如果他们不能顺利地实现社会融入,就可能沦落到城市社会经济的底层,成为城市的"二等公民",有的甚至会成为城市社会安全的破坏者。显然,城市农转非新移民子女的社会融入困难并不是他们自身和家庭能够解决的,它必须依靠社会、学校和家庭的通力协作才能顺利完成。

Children of peasants newly migrating into the city are new migrants in real sense. They must only integrate into the city＇s society can they develep healthily. However, their social integration faces difficulties such as cultural difference, space separation, social segregation and school achievement difference. If they cannot integrate into the society, they will fall to the lowest social and economical strata in the city, becoming ＂second - class citizen＂ , and some of them will even become the destroyer of the city＇s social security. Obviously, the difficulties of their social integration cannot be solved by themselves and their families, and it can only be achieved by the joint efforts of the whole society, schools and their families.
