On Significance of Idea History in "The Public's Philosophy"

对艾思奇《大众哲学》的研究过去多停留在他对马克思主义哲学的大众化、通俗化上。事实上,《大众哲学》的历史价值并非只具有一般哲学史或学术史的意义,而更为重要的是具有思想史上的意义。由此观之,《大众哲学》在改变中国人的思想观念、思维方式等方面就具有一种深刻的观念变革作用。由此也可以见出《大众哲学》和毛泽东哲学思想之间的更为密切的联系。

The research of “The Public＇s Philosophy” by Ai Siqi in the past was always focus on the popularization of the Marxist philosophy. In fact, the historical value of it is, not only the general significance of philosophic and academic history, but also, and more important, the significance of idea history. So “The Public＇s Philosophy”plays a deep, transforming part in the changing the thoughts and thinking methods of Chinese people. Meanwhile, the more intimate relationship between “The Public＇s Philosophy” and the philosophy idea of Mao can obviously be found.
