China＇s meteorological satellite program consists of five systems, namely the satellite system, the launch vehicle system, the launch center system, TT＆C and the ground application system. The satellite system consists of FengYun （FY） polar orbiting series and FY geostationary series, which are launched by LM launch vehicles from Taiyan Satellite Launch Center （TSLC） and Xichang Satellite Launch Center （XSLC） respectively. Both the satellites and the launch vehicles are developed by China independently. Xi＇an Satellite Control Center （XSCC） and ground TT＆C network control the satellite for orbit transfer in the early stage and manage satellite for the long term.
