Modern computer technology is the basis of information science and technology. The development of computer technology, has proposed new challenges and demands for basic computer education to colleges and universities. In this paper, the status of teaching basic computer were analyzed and discussed, and how to improve the quality of teaching basic computer conducted indepth thinking.
