On the Translation of Snippets of "Mulan Poem" From Three Beauty Theory

受诗歌"只可意会,不可言传"的传统思想影响,有些学者和译者认为诗歌不可译。本文以《木兰辞》两个英译本为对象,对比解读其诗歌翻译中"意美、音美和形美"的具体表现,从而证明诗歌的可译性。

Influenced by the traditional idea of ＂Poetry is what gets lost is translation＂,many scholars and the translators think that poetry cannot be translated. This article,taking two English versions of ＂Mulan Ci＂ as the example,analyzes and comments the ＂romantic charm, musical charm, form charm＂represented in the versions. It aims to prove the translatability of poetry.
