Negativity of Hunan Culture and Its Influence on Mao Zedong

同任何其它文化一样,湖湘文化也有负面性,这种负面性根源于其历史、自然的环境和自身的特质。湖湘文化对毛泽东有着深刻的影响,积极正面的影响是主要的,但负面影响也同样存在。新中国成立后尤其在晚年,毛泽东出现的失误都可以从文化因子上找到原因。分析这些并非否定湖湘文化或毛泽东的功绩,而是坚持一种辩证的、客观科学的态度。

Like other cultures,Hunan culture(also called Hu Xiang culture)has its negativity.Its negativity derives from its history and characteristics.Hunan culture had both positive and negative effect on Mao Zedong.Mao's errors in work in his later years had some cultural reasons.This analysis doesn't intend to deny the contributions of Hunan culture and Mao Zedong,but sticks to a dialectical,objective and scientific attitude when making a judgement.
