摘要
三维网格压缩技术在三维图形处理和网络传输中有着重要的作用,其中的单一位率压缩技术将网格的几何信息和拓扑连接信息分开独立压缩。根据网格信息的特点,将该类算法分为连接信息驱动的编码压缩算法和几何信息驱动的编码压缩算法。对两类算法进行了综述性研究,总结和对比了其中主要算法的思想及实现过程,分析了它们的适用环境和优缺点。最后论述了单一位率压缩算法的发展趋势。
3D mesh compression technology acts as an important role in 3D graphics processing and network transmission. The single-rate mesh compression algorithm encodes and compresses geometry data and topological connectivity data separately. By a survey, a classified method is provided which classifies 3D mesh single-rate compression algorithms into two classes: connectivity-driven encoding and geometry-driven encoding. Various theories and implements are summarized and their advantages and shortcomings are compared. Some trends in the single-rate compression technology development are addressed.
