由于中国与英语国家的历史背景、政治、经济、社会、语言、文化以及价值观等的不同,汉译英时容易产生"中式英语","中式英语"主要表现在语音、词汇、句法和语篇等方面。"中式英语"在词汇层面的表现主要有:词汇冗余;词汇缺乏;机械对应;搭配不当;词性误用;褒贬误用和对中国特色词翻译的不当上。

Since China is different from English-speaking countries on history, politics, economics, culture and values, during the process of Chinese - English translation, ＂Chinglish＂ is bound to occur in phonetics, vocabulary, syntax and text. The errors in ＂Chinglish＂ vocabulary can be divided into seven classes, namely, lexical redundancy; lexical insufficiency; mechanical counterpart; incorrect collocation; confused part of speech; misuse of commendatory and derogatory terms; improper translation of words with Chinese characteristics.
