Brief Introduction of Giddens' Structuration Theory and Its Analysis Route

吉登斯将"消解"个人与社会、主体与客体、结构与行动、微观与宏观关系上的"二元论"视为其社会学理论重建的基点。为此,他提出了著名的"结构化理论",主张从实践出发,以结构的二重性来取代主客二元论,并从"有意图行动"的"非意图后果"、"社会整合"与"系统整合"、"制度分析"与"策略性行动分析"三条思路出发,努力实现化约传统社会学关于结构与行动之间的对立。

To reconcile the dualism--between self and society, subjectivity and objectivity, action and structure,as well as micro and macro--is taken by Anthony Giddens as the basis of reconstructing the sociological theory. According to his famous ＂Structuration Theory＂,Giddens puts forward that the classic action/ structure dualism has to be re-conceptualized as a duality-the duality of structure. Moreover,in order to realize the objective of reconciling the dualism, he resorts to three important concepts： ＂unintended conse-quences of intentional action＂, ＂social integration and system integration＂ as well as ＂institutional analysis and strategic-move analysis＇.
