As a British poet in the 1970s,Tony Harrison is renowned for the strong working-class consciousness in most of his poetical works. Yet, in his poem ＂A Kumquat for John Keats＂, there apparently exists John Keats＇s poetical influence of romanticism on him. In this poem, the language is not of strong working-class consciousness, but is poetically descriptive and sensuous.
