摘要
本研究以敞开式问卷的形式对中美两国的三组学生(美国的本族语学生、中国的英语专业学生和非英语专业学生)对抱怨这一言语行为的态度进行了调查,具体分析他们怎样看待抱怨,在抱怨的情境、抱怨的对象以及抱怨的方式等问题上有何异同。结果表明,中国非英语专业学生在抱怨的话题等方面与美国本族语学生稍有差异,但英语专业学生却与美国学生有很多相似之处,研究认为,英语语言文化对英语专业学生的熏陶在对待抱怨这一问题上尤为突出。
By means of an open-ended questionnaire, the present study makes an investigation of the attitudes towards complaints of three groups of students, i.e. American native speakers, English majors in China, or Chinese learners of English and non-English majors. Analysis centers on how they view complaints, when, to whom, and about what they complain with the aim of finding possible differences. Results show that the NEM group differs slightly from the ANS group in terms of complaining topics, etc., while the CLE group has shown considerable similarities with the ANS group. This has the implication that the English language and culture have great impact on the CLE group, especially regarding the attitude to the speech act of complaints.
