There exists a tendency the using trackless vehicles in the future mine a development tendency, while using LHDs is an important constituent of the trackless mining technique. In order to solve the problem that reclaiming the remaining ores and working at risk in the mine, there has developed the line-of sight radio remote control technique recently in overseas. Starting with an introduction to using radio remote controlled LHD, the paper expounds the characteristics of radio remote control technique and reform projects of hydraulic system that can be operated either by remote control or by hand control. At last, the paper also makes a prospect to the tendency of radio remote controlled LHD.
