OODB是数据库研究的新领域.文中介绍应用于面向对象数据库查询语言原型（OOQL）的OODB理论——与关系代数相似的关联代数（AssociationAlgebra）。通过与关系代数的比较，分析其特点，说明其优越性.最后结出基于关联的查询形式。

OODB is a new database research field. In this paper, we first analyze an OODB theory used in OODB query language (OOQL)-association algebra, which is analogous to the relational algebra.We present its features and its advantages by conlparison with relational algebra. Then, we give the association-based query formalation.
