摘要
图书馆用户服务中,Short Messaging Service(SMS,手机短信服务)还是一种新兴服务方式。本文旨在分析国外几所大学图书馆和国内几个成功运用这一服务模式的图书馆的经验,总结手机短信服务的特点,并指出我国图书馆运用这一服务的可行性,进一步提出建议。
Short Messaging Service （SMS） is a new service in library user service. This paper aims to analyze experiences of SMS services of several foreign university libraries, as well as several successful domestic libraries which make use of this mode of library service, then sums up the features of SMS services. It analyzes the feasibility of using this kind of service in Chinese libraries, and further proposals.
