对和谐社会的向往、设计,是人类梦寐以求的美好理想和不懈追求。当前,我国正处在由传统农业社会向现代工业社会过渡的文化模式转型之中,我们所要构建的和谐社会优越于人类已往文化模式的社会状态,是要在社会主义初级阶段实现人与人、人与自然、人与社会的和谐发展,而社会主义本质和基本制度为构建和谐社会打下了坚实基础。和谐社会体现了亲和、善待自然的审美态度以及人际友爱、和睦的道德诉求,表征了公众自我平和、祥和的精神品格,因而具有深刻的文化意蕴。

It is human＇s long - cherished dream and unremitting pursuit to expect and design a harmonious society. At present, China is in the period of cultural pattern transition from the traditional agricultural society to the modern industrial one. The harmonious society we are going to construct is superior to any other social state in human history, and it aims to realize the harmonious development of man and man, man and nature as well as man and society at the primary stage of socialism. The socialist nature and basic institutions have laid a solid foundation for the construction of the harmonious society. The harmonious society not only displays the aesthetic attitude of treating nature kindly, the moral pursuit of friendly relationship between people and the peaceful and auspicious spiritual quality. Thus it has very deep cultural connotations.
