摘要
本研究以《中国大学生英语口笔语语料库》中60个英语专业二年级学生的口语文本为语料,探讨了英语学习者在口语中的冠词使用情况。结果发现,学生对冠词掌握的总体情况比较好,但内部差异明显;他们在语言交际中的冠词正确率远远高于冠词知识测试中的正确率;三种冠词中,定冠词的正确率最高,不定冠词其次,零冠词最低;口语中常见的冠词错误为漏用the/a(n)和滥用the两种;学生在口语中对冠词错误的自我修正比较少见。
The present study investigates Chinese EFL learners' use of articles in an oral test. The material used in this study was the transcripts of the performance of 60 second-year Chinese English majors in the 2001 TEM-4 oral test, which were taken from the Spoken English Corpus of Chinese Learners. The analyses of the article used by the learners reveal the following findings: Chinese EFL learners as a whole can use articles fairly well in the oral English test situation, but there are considerable variations within the learners. The accuracy rate of article use in oral performance is much higher than that in the article knowledge test. The accuracy rates of the three kinds of articles show that the learners use the definite article best, the zero article worst, and the indefinite article in between. The omission of the/a (n) and the overuse of the are the two major problems the learners have when using articles. The learners seldom monitor article use in their oral performance.
