莎剧中的话语标记及其翻译

Discourse Markers in Shakespeare’s Plays and Their Translation

本文旨在探讨莎剧翻译中对话语标记语用意义和社会意义在汉译本中加以体现这一问题。作者从英、汉两种语言入手在对话语标记认识的基础上,对莎剧话语标记加以分类,并从语言对比和译本对比的角度,以实例形式尝试提出莎剧话语标记汉译的原则,目的在于将莎剧语言研究的新成果应用于莎剧翻译中。

This paper attempts to explore the problem of how to reproduce the social and pragmatic meanings of discourse markers in translation of Shakespeare＇ s plays. Based on the knowledge of discourse markers both in Chinese and English, the author categorizes discourse markers in Shakespeare＇s plays into three types according to their functions. Through comparative studies between English and Chinese and between different Chinese versions, the author offers some tentative principles illustrated by examples in the hope of applying new findings in Shakespearean studies to translation of Shakespeare＇ s plays.
