中国关于构建和谐世界的主张，同样适用于中亚。中亚地区目前还存在着若干不和谐现象，其原因多而复杂。上海合作组织成立以来，就促成成员国之间政治协商、经济互利、安全合作、人文交流等方面，做了大量工作，对构建和谐中亚起到了积极的作用。

China's proposal of building a harmonious world also applies to Central Asia. A number of unharmonious phenomena are present in the region at the moment.The reasons are varied and complicated. Ever since the establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a lot of work have been done by the member countries in political consultations, economic mutual benefits, security cooperation, people-to-people exchanges and other fields, producing positive effects on promotion of regional harmony.
