摘要 运用vP壳理论可以更好地解释和分析英汉使役结构的分类、使役动词的生成及使役结构的生成。通过这一视角发现:英汉使役结构具有相同的分类;及物动词、不及物动词、形容词以及名词与使役轻动词合并时都可用作使役动词;不同类型的使役结构中都存在一个轻动词,且它们都具有相同的底层结构。显性轻动词不促发下层动词发生句法移位,形成分析型使役结构,过渡性轻动词和隐性轻动词促发句法移位,分别形成形态型使役结构和词汇型使役结构。 This paper focuses on causative constructions in terms of classification and derivation with- in the framework of the vP shell theory. With our analysis, we find that, causative constructions, both in English and in Chinese, can uniformly be divided into analytic, morphological and lexical causative constructions; transitive verbs, intransitive verbs, adjectives and nouns can be used as causative verbs if they are combined with Vcaus ; all kinds of causative constructions derive from the same underlying structure and there exists a causative light verb (Vcaus) in different causative constructions; analytic causative constructions are derived when no syntactic movements are involved; morphological and lexical causative constructions are derived by moving the lower verbs to Vcaus
