This paper mainly discusses the significance and value of the military economic thought in Sun Tzu＇s ＂Art of War＂ from the macroscopic view of ancient and modern wars. It first summarizes and categorizes the theoretical system of ＂the Art of War＂ in contents, then stresses on the analysis of its economic thought. After summing up the specific contents of the military economic thought of ＂the Art of War＂, the author analyzes and elaborates its significance and value and the inspiration it gives to the ancient and modern wars from the war history as well as from the military theory at home and abroad.
