Stevioside is a natural non- nutritional sweet flavor, 250-300 times sweeter than the sucrose. This paper specified the property and physiologic functions of the stevioside and its derivatives (steviol) in detail, summed up their development of food, medicine and daily-chemical studies. In addition, it also discussed stevioside and steviol aoolication in the future.
