略论北匈奴西迁的原因

The Causations of the Northern Xiongnu’s Immigration to the West

东汉初期,匈奴分裂为南、北两个政权。南匈奴南下,臣属于东汉。北匈奴继续与汉为敌,不断侵扰边境,双方战争频仍。公元91年,北匈奴单于在战争中惨败,被迫挟众西逃,踏上了西迁之路。北匈奴的西迁是由多方面原因造成的,既有内因,也有外因。相对而言,外因大于内因。

In the beginning of the Eastern Han Dynasty,the Xiongnu nation had splited up into two regimes： the Southern Group and the Northern Group. The Southern Xiongnu immigrated into the central plains and was attached to the Eastern Han Dynasty . The Northern Xiongnu went on opposing against the Han Dynasty and invaded the border area often. Both sides battled continually. Gong yuan 91, the Northern Xiongnu were defeated and escaped to the west. The causations of the Northern Xiongnu＇s Immigration have not noly the direct reasons but also the other factors
