Intentionality and Its Application in Text

语言学家Beaugrande和Dressler(1981)认为篇章应定义为满足七个组篇标准的交际事件。作为语篇篇章性的七个标准之一的意向性是指语篇构建者使用语篇来达到某种意图的各种方法。人们发出某种话语都是有一定意图和目的的。尝试通过分析几个语篇来帮助我们对语篇的意向性有更深入的理解。

Beaugrande and Dressier （1981） think that the definition of the text is the communicative events which satisfy seven textures of a text. As one of the seven textures, intentionality designates all the ways by which text producers utilize texts to pursue and fulfill their intentions. People produce some texts to achieve a certain intention. This article is intended to assist us to fully realize the function of intentionality by analyzing several texts.
