简化英语是在国际航空航天工业领域率先使用的一种专业技术英语。它采用限定的语法、词汇和表达方式,以简单、明白、准确、规范的语言撰写文件,提高了文件的标准化程度,有利于读者理解和机器翻译。因此,在我国专业文件(特别是出口产品使用说明)的写作方面,推广简化英语,有利于提高专业文件的可读性和可译性,从而提高我国出口产品的竞争力。

Simplified English is a kind of technical English used first in international aerospace industries. It uses restricted grammar, vocabulary and expressions, and composes documents in simple, clear, accurate and standard language, so as to increase the document standardization and make it easy for readers＇ comprehension and for machine translation. Therefore, popularizing simplified English in technical documents writing （especially in export-product instruction writing） in China can increase the readability and translatability of the technical documents, and thus increase the competitiveness of our export products.
