紫杉醇是近３０年来发现的一种广谱抗癌新药，已成为当前国内外的研究热点。本文介绍了含有紫杉醇的主要植物——红豆杉科和红豆杉近缘科属植物在中国的分布情况，综述了紫杉醇的生物活性和化学合成，并详细讨论了紫杉醇的构效关系。

Taxol, as a kind of new medicine discovered in the last 30 years, has been widely used in a range of human decease and become a hot-area attracting a deal of research, both nationally and internationally. The authours gives a detailed introduction to the geographic distribution in China of the family, Taxaceae, and other closely related taxa which content taxol and to the biological activity of taxol and its chemical synthesis. The authours also point out that taxol is of essential function to resist to cancer and it will be more widely applied to cure cancer. However, China is seriously lack of the resources of Taxaceae, the existing resources must well be protected and further enlarged for the future.
