一种基于子波变换的图像编码方案

摘要 提出了一种基于子波变换的灰度图像数据压缩编码方案,其基本思路是对子波分解后的最低分辨率亮度子图像采用JPEG编码,对各级边缘子图像进行阈值量化后采用行程编码.对512×512的Lena灰度图像进行编码,在压缩比为52时,峰值信噪比(S/N)P为29.245dB.并获得有较好视觉效果的重构图像. A scheme for image data compression based on the wavelet transform was presented. The main idea was that the subimage with the lowest frequency and detail subimages resulting from decomposition of original image using wavelet transform were encoded using JPEG and running length respectively after being quantized by thresholds. A 512×512 Lena′s gray image was encoded. At a compression ratio of 52,the peak signal to noise ratio P is [BF]29.245dB and a good visual performance of reconstructed was obtained.
