摘要
文化模型是美国院校组织研究中一种重要的描述性理论,它关注文化在高等教育管理中的作用与功能,强调组织成员共享的价值、信仰、规范等文化符号对于高校管理产生的重要影响。文化模型起源于高等教育研究者对于大学文化的系统观察与个案分析,在上世纪70年代作为一种理论构想被提了出来。80年代之后,在美国组织文化研究热潮的推动下,大学组织理论中的文化模型得到多科学者的系统阐释,在理论与方法上不断完善。
The idea about cultural models is an important descriptive theory in the study of higher education institutions in America. It focuses on the role and function of culture in and the influence of cultural symbols such as shared value, belief and norm on higher education management. Cultural models came of the systematic observation and case study of university cultures from higher education researchers in the 1970s. As the study of organisational culture surged up in American academe from the 1980s, cultural models have been explained by many scholars from other disciplines. Its theoretical basis and methodology has been promoted.
