摘要
三维波导的模场具有偏振特性(TE或TM模),针对三维脊型光波导模场的偏振相关性,对于不同偏振方向的模场构造满足不同边界连续性条件的差分格式,结合交替方向隐式FD-BPM来处理三维波导问题,分析了多模脊型光波导的模场,得到各阶导模的模传播常数和模场分布.利用该方法得到的模场可以基于同一套空间差分网格而直接用于波导器件的FD-BPM功能模拟,避免为了分析波导模场而去寻求另外的方法.
The modes supported by optical waveguide usually have the polarization property (TE mode or TM mode). The different finite difference schemes corresponding to different polarized directions, which satisfy different boundary continuity conditions, are formulized and the alternate directions implicit FD-BPM are used to deal with the three dimensional problem. The mode property of a three-dimensional rib waveguide including the propagation constants and mode field distribution are obtained. These modes fields can be used directly to the FD-BPM functional simulation of a waveguide device based on the same mesh grid and need not to find other methods to analyze the modes fields.
