With the development of IP technology, three networks convergence is becoming a inescapable problem and the development trend of modern network. This paper introduces the basic conception of three networks convergence, and the current status, characteristics and problems about telecom network, CATV network, Internet existing in our country. The technological base of three networks convergence is discussed, and several network convergent operations and the development situations in foreign countries are simply introduced.
