The Domination of Vicissitudes portrays reform pioneer-Zhao Anban, the cream of the corrupt-Qian Huiren, the cruel capitalist-Bai Yuanwei and the others successfully. By analyzing the characters in the work, we can see the practical significance and the artistic value of the novel.
