Xie Bin 's Inspection and Investigation of Hong Kong

香港自古以来就是我国领土,谢彬对香港作了全面系统的实地考察研究,并详尽记述了英人侵占香港,锐意经营,繁盛发达的情形。告知国人由于清廷昏庸无识,与英人订约,致使中国领土主权丧失。用以激发人们奋发图强,建设富强昌盛的国家,期待香港早日回归祖国。

Since ancient time, Hong Kong has been our territory. Xie Bin made a systematic spot investiagation of Hong Kong, recording in detail British invasion of it, the inhabitants running of business and its prosperity, warning his fellow countrymen that it was the stupidity and ignorance of the Qing court that led to the signing of the humiliatory treaty with Englishmen and the loss of sovereignty of Chinese territory. Xie＇s words were a spur on his countrymen to work hard and build a strong country to realize an early reunification of Hong Kong with motherland.
