A Discussion on Pragmatic Failures of Phonetic Problems in Cross-cultural Communication

跨文化交际语用失误发生在语言的各个层面。语音层面的语用失误,是由于汉英两种语言在音节结构、重音和语调、节奏和押韵等方面存在较大的差异性所导致的发生在跨文化交际中的失误。

Pragmatic failures occur at all levels of language in cross -cultural communication. However, the pragmatic failures of phonetic problems are seldom studied. This paper mainly explores the pragmatic failures of phonetic problems because of the differences of syllable structure, stress, intonation, rhythm and rhyme between English and Chinese.
