With the improvement of people＇s living standard and increasing leisure time, more and more people pursue unique cultures with ＂novelty and mystery＂ in order to obtain spiritual satisfaction and experience. Tourism has developed rapidly in western Hunan and achieved great economic and social benefits, which are related to marketing and promotion of movie and TV industry with the theme of western Hunan. This paper focuses on these movies and TV programs＇ impact on tourism in western Hunan as well as the countermeasures.
