章回小说体式衰落与蜕变的实证——试论清末广东小说家黄小配近事小说的艺术特色

Empirical Study of Decline and Transformation of Zhuanghui Novel Style——On the Artistic Characteristics of the Contemporary Fictions by HUANG Xiao-pei,a Novelist from Guangdong

文章从黄小配对章回小说叙事结构的因革、对小说中议论技巧的改进、对诗词文赋的合理穿插等方面概括和论述了黄小配近事小说艺术特色的创新之处,并指出了黄小配近事小说在清末小说文坛上的意义:反映了小说观念与小说创作处于大变革时期的总体风貌;反映了传统的章回小说体式的衰落与蜕变,及其逐渐被短篇小说和现代长篇小说代替的过程。

This paper generalizes and discusses the creative arts characteristics in the contemporary fictions by HUANG Xiao-pei, based on the aspects such as how HUANG Xiao-pei follows and reforms the narrative structure of Zhanghui novel style, improves the argumentative skills and weaves reasonably through works with poems and essays. It also states the great significance of HUANG Xiao-pei＇s contemporary fictions in the literary circle in the period of late-qing Dynasty. They show a general impression of great changes of ideas and creations of novel, the decline and transformation of the traditional Zhanghui novel style and how they have been replaced dy short novels and modern long novels.
