在《太阳照在桑干河上》的"土改"叙事中,农民的时间观念和意识的转变是丁玲重点关注和论述的部分。她将主体的时间观念建构在厚积着传统文化记忆和纠集着复杂人伦网络的乡土宗法空间上。在一系列思想性较强的"成长仪式"中,主体的成长与历史的成长同构,从而导致历史革命化了。这种土改的时间境域、成长仪式的展示与文本生产一道构成了对"合法性"话语的体认和确证。

In the narration of agraian reform in The Sun Shines on the Sanggan River, Ding Ling, the writer, focused on the farmers＇ change of time consciousness. She constructed the subjects＇ time consciousness on patriachal space which were stacked with traditional cultural memory and complex network of human relations. In a series of ideological ＂growth ceremony＂ , the subjects grew together with the history, so that the history was revolutionized. The time consciousness of agrainan reform, the display of growth ceremony and the production of the text together constituted the confirmation of ＂legitimate＂ discourse.
