梁宗岱与梵乐希因为共同的文学理想结成异国之交。在对梵乐希纯诗理论的接受与传播中,梁宗岱成为中国象征主义诗歌纯诗理论整体观论的第一人,又可以说是最后一个象征主义诗论家。他为诗学领域展示了一个多层次、系统化、立体化的纯诗论体系,这由象征主义诗论以及梵乐希象征主义纯诗论与中国古典象征主义理论有机结合而来,或者说梁宗岱用自己深厚的古典文学素养对象征主义进行了全面而系统的中国化阐释。
