摘要
Just before the spring festival of 2008, the eastern, middle, southern and southwest parts of China were hit by violent icy and snowy weather, which was the most serious winter storm disaster in recorded history. The daily lives of the people in the disaster areas were severely influenced by power outages, a lack of basic provisions and the obstruction of traffic. It was extremely difficult, and in some cases impossible ,for migrant workers to return home for the holiday.
