摘要 外语教学法发展的历史和教学实践不断证明外语教学中并没有完美的教学法。任何盲目依赖单一教学法,排斥他法的做法往往导致教学实践中出现偏差。而折中教学则是外语教学法发展的必然趋势。虽然语言教学界对于折中教学法观点不一,然而其倡导的兼收并蓄、博采众长的教学理念体现了其产生的历史必然性和强大的生命力。 As has been repeatedly proved in the development of foreign language pedagogy, not a single method is perfect and any preference to a certain method and the exclusion of the others will lead to some inadequacy in the teaching. Eclecticism is an inevitable trend in foreign language teaching methodology. Although there has been much heated debate over the feasibility and effectiveness of the Eclectic Approach in practical teaching, its teaching concept of choosing from a wide range of methods and approaches instead of being restricted to the use of any single method displays its inevitability and great vitality.
