郭嵩焘“通其情,达其理”的外交思想——来自“中国中心论”的思考

Guo Songtao's Diplomatic Thinking:on the Basis of Situations and Principles——From the Perspective of "China Centered Approach"

面对日趋衰落的清王朝,作为中国晚清一位有胆识的思想家、外交家,郭嵩焘审时度势,提出"通其情、达其理"的主和外交思想,顺应了中国近代化的历史潮流。其理性与自主的外交智慧与风范,与美国著名史学家柯文教授的"中国中心论"不谋而合。文章从"中国中心论"的近现代研究范式角度出发,以郭嵩焘的外交思想评析为中心,旨在发掘中国晚清外交思想中可飨后世的闪光之处。

As a thinker and diplomat full of courage and insight in the late Qing Dynastr, Guo Songtao put forward to the peaceful diplomatic thinking, which is on the basis of full understanding of situations and principles both at home and abroad. It conformed the historical trend of modernization in China and is accord with the ＂China centered approach＂ given by an American historian,Paul A＂ Cohen. The article will describe several historical events related to Guo Songtao＇s diplomatic thinking from the perspective of ＂China centered approach＂.
